Burdens

It is easy to get caught up in our own problems-

the very real and painful weight of them

But when we encounter someone else’s extraordinary pain

we realize

Not only can we handle our own burdens,

but we can help others a little with their load.

And in the process of lightening theirs,

we lighten our own.
